Gretchen Shotwell became a full-time real estate agent in 2014 and joined Rêve Realtors in 2019. She sells homes all across the city but specializes in the French Quarter, Marigny, Bywater, 7th Ward and Holy Cross.

Having earned an undergraduate degree in French and a graduate degree in secondary education, Gretchen spent fifteen years in public education before getting into real estate. That experience gave her a strong foundation for working with first time homebuyers; she’s adept at educating and guiding them through the process, developing and maintaining relationships, and overcoming obstacles while keeping the end goal in sight.

Ethical, thorough and communicative, Gretchen does everything she can to make sure clients are as happy in six months as they are on closing day and feels honored to be described this way: "She cares about the human aspect of real estate."

In addition to work, Gretchen loves her rescued German shepherd, traveling to Svalbard (about 650 miles south of the North Pole!), and working on her own 140 year old home.
